The Hutto Business Update is now the vehicle for both the Hutto Chamber of Commerce and the Hutto Economic Development Corporation monthly newsletters. It also features special sections for the City of Hutto, Williamson County, and news about the Hutto Independent School District. In addition there will be many opportunities for you, the reader, to participate in HBU. People in the News features individuals receiving promotions, changing jobs, starting new businesses while Hutto Buzz is a short comment on what is happening, businesses openings and expansions, meetings, and observations. Both rely on information you provide.
We are always looking for stories about new projects, new and existing businesses, trends or major changes coming, and interesting profiles. We welcome writers and photographers, and would love to find a good cartoonist.

The Chamber of Commerce is always looking for volunteers, as is the Heritage Society, the PTA's, and others. The Hutto Rotary Club meets every Tuesday noon at the old middle school cafeteria on College Street and the Hutto Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 6:30pm at the Middle School cafeteria. We encourage you to attend the monthly meetings of the City Council meetings, the HEDC, Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation, the Hutto ISD board, and the Chamber mixers where you'll find friendly people just like yourself working to make Hutto an even better place to live and work than it is today.
